Five Minute Friday - Help- Asking for Help

So I have been out the pass two weeks because life is just plain busy. God is still working and I have to go back to that every time or I am going to fall flat on my face.

So here is to another Five Minute Friday. The word is "help".

So this past week has been an up and down week for me emotionally. I am kinda in between stages of finishing a Bible Study and figuring out what I need to do next with my blog. Kinda frustrating and lonely.

Also the Republican National Convention is on this week which is depressing and a joke.

My husband's new job is finally opened and on its way to being successful since it is expected to be one of their busier stores. But it means he is so busy and tired.

So most nights I have been feeling very anxious anticipating what is next for life. I constantly had the battle going on,

"I just need to relax my brain and watch some Friends."

"Psst...Kristina what is that going to solve in your busy and anxious mind...um...nothing."

"But I just want to relax."

"Kristina you need My Help. Kristina you are doing all of this in your own strength and leaning on your own understanding. You cant. It is counterproductive. You need My help!"

I reached out for His help and the blessings continue to flow. But it needs to be a constant going to His help. I am though so thankful for a persistent and faithful God who wants me to let go and allow Him to help me.

  1. Great observations, Christina!

One thought, if I may...a true moral choice is not between 'good' and 'bad'; it's between 'bad' and 'worse', and no choice is a choice (so said Dietrich Bonhoeffer, killed by the Nazis just before the end of the war).

The conventions may be theatrics, but the choice is still vitally important.

    1. Dietrich Bonhoeffer! What a wonderful example! He had to make some real hard choices. I think what is awesome about him was that he firmly believed and knew God wanted him to do this. I think the choices we have to make have to include God in it. And I know as you can tell that I am really struggling but I know God is working as I continue to let go of what I want versus what He deems right. Thanks for stopping by. : )

  2. I love this, Kristina. Anxiety is my immediate state. I don't even have to try to get there. And my response is always, "I just need to relax." There's a place for that, of course, but it needs to come AFTER I have sought the Lord. Thanks for being real!

  3. Kristina, thank you for your transparency. We connect at our weaknesses not our stregths, don't we? And I can relate so much to what you're shared. I especially love what the Lord spoke to you: "Kristina you need My Help. Kristina you are doing all of this in your own strength and leaning on your own understanding. You cant. It is counterproductive. You need My help!" I do the same thing, and then when I let go and trust Him, everything changes IN ME even if nothing changes around me. Blessings!
