Five Minute Friday- Decide- Intentionally Deciding

Here is to another Five Minute Friday. The word is "Decide"

I have decided this week to be intentional about spending time in God's word right before bed. A lot of things have been going on in my life concerning relationships that I hold onto dearly. But when I hold onto them too tightly I then go on for nights waking up and feeling very anxious and fearful. I do have to confess that I enjoyed it because I felt like God was calling out to me to pray for those love ones. Hence the reason I why I have decided to spend time in God's word before bed.

I am realizing that if I want to see changes in my life, I have to decide to draw near to God in His word. I have come to see through the years how powerful God's word is. But lately I have seen that it is also very important in order to be completely satisfied in Him. I am getting tried of riding the fence. I need to decide what side of the fence I need to be on if I want to make a difference in my love ones lives. It cant be me anymore. It has to be me deciding to be satisfied first in Christ. That is why I am soaking my mind in God's word.

  1. Kristina, deciding to spend more time in God's word is always a good decision. I'm so with you. If we want changes in our lives, we need to be intentional about seeking Him out. His word is the best place to go for help in becoming more like Jesus. You've made a great decision!

I'm your neighbor at FMF this week. So nice to "meet" you!

  2. Hello there, dropping in from FMF. I have to agree with you and Jeanne. Spending time with God is the best investment we can make...a decision never regretted and He Never Disappoints. Blessings.

  3. Amen,Kristina. So glad you're drawing near and being refreshed. It's so easy to be consumed by things and not make the time to rest in God. Continuing to lift you and your family up in prayer.

    1. Hello my dear friend! Thank you always for your encouraging words and prayer. I know that I need to be consumed in Him. This evening was a perfect example of it. I simply watched a tv show to relax before doing the dishes and I got so wrapped up in it where it was consuming my mind. I just wanted to go back and watch another and realize what was happening. I had to draw near to God. Nothing was wrong just sitting down for awhile but it was just a small way for me to be distracted and filling my mind with useless stuff. Thanks again for stopping by

    1. I am so glad that I was able to encourage you. I think that is the neatest thing about how God has built us as humans, we all go through a lot of the same things in order to encourage each other. Sending out a little prayer for you. Thanks for visiting.
